Requirements for registering interest in housing
If you start studying during the autumn semester, you can register interest in housing with a tenancy agreement start date of 1 May or later. If you start studying during the spring semester, you can register interest in housing with a tenancy agreement start date of 1 November or later.
During the semester
To register interest in housing, you need to provide a certificate of registration for the current semester and have an active Student Union membership.
Your studies must be at least 50% of full-time at a higher education institution affiliated with SSCO.
If you cannot provide these documents when you receive a housing offer, we will not be able to approve your tenancy agreement.
We do not accept summer courses as valid documentation for signing a tenancy agreement.
Before the semester has started
If the semester has not yet started, you need to provide an admission letter showing that you have been admitted for the upcoming semester. We do not accept admission letters where you are only conditionally admitted. Before the semester has started, you can register interest in housing without having an active Student Union membership.
Your studies must be at least 50% of full-time at a higher education institution affiliated with SSCO.

We will not sign a tenancy agreement with you if you own a condominium or hold another tenancy agreement within Stockholm County.

We do not accept certificates that are older than one month.
Are you studying at the Stockholm School of Economics?
You need to provide a Course Registration Certificate. Contact the school to obtain the correct certificate.
Are you a doctoral student?
You need to provide a certificate confirming a study activity of at least 50%. The certificate must be issued according to our doctoral student template. Download the doctoral student template here.
Pre-doctoral and postdoctoral students are not eligible.
Start registering interest
You can register interest in up to three homes at the same time and see your registrations of interest on My Pages. The student with the highest number of queue days receives a housing offer. If two people have the same number of queue days, the offer is sent to the person who registered first in our housing queue.
If you have the highest number of queue days for more than one of the homes you have registered interest in, you will only receive an offer for one of them. Our system randomly selects which home you receive an offer for. You cannot rank your registrations of interest. Therefore, it is important to only register interest in homes that you really want.
If the person who receives a housing offer declines it, the home is published again. It is therefore not offered to the person with the second-highest number of queue days.
When do we publish vacant homes?
We usually publish vacant homes on Mondays at 16:00 and Thursdays at 10:00. Homes may also be published on other weekdays.
You can register interest in homes published on Mondays until Thursday at 10:00. You can register interest in homes published on Thursdays until Monday at 16:00. Housing offers are sent to My Pages approximately 30 minutes later.
During the summer, we may publish vacant homes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Priority
If you have special and compelling reasons, you may be granted priority in our student housing queue. This primarily applies to medical or social reasons or a disability that can be supported by a medical certificate or similar documentation. Pregnancy, overcrowded housing, homelessness or long distances to and from your higher education institution are not valid grounds for priority.
If you are granted priority, there is no guarantee that you will receive the exact type of housing you prefer.
Please note! If you are granted priority, it may take several months before a suitable home becomes available. If you decline a housing offer, your priority will be considered used and you will then need to register interest in housing as usual through our housing queue.
