Broadband and TV

All our properties have broadband and TV from Telenor. The fee is included in the rent and cannot be opted out of, in accordance with an agreement between the Stockholm Student Tenants’ Association (SSF) and Stockholms studentbostäder.

Broadband

To use the broadband connection in your home, connect your computer to the network socket using a network cable. If you want to use Wi-Fi, you need to connect your own Wi-Fi router to the network socket.

Our broadband provider is Telenor. If you experience problems with your broadband connection, contact Telenor Customer Service on 020-222 222. State that you live with Stockholms studentbostäder and provide your street address and apartment number.

Speed and performance

The broadband connection has a maximum speed of 250/250 Mbit/s, which means 250 Mbit/s downstream and 250 Mbit/s upstream. Depending on your address and the building’s infrastructure, the speed may vary by up to 60 Mbit/s both upstream and downstream.

It is not possible to upgrade the broadband connection to a higher speed yourself.

TV

In most of our properties, you can connect an antenna cable between the TV outlet and your television to receive TV channels.

At Professorsslingan 47–53, Armégatan 32 B–C and in Birka, TV is instead provided through an IP-based solution. Contact Telenor on 020-222 222 to get started.

The TV antenna outlets in Kungshamra cannot be used for TV reception.

If you would like access to additional TV channels, you need to take out your own subscription with Telenor.
