Indoor temperature

When autumn comes, it can feel colder in your home. A room temperature of between 20-21 degrees is a normal indoor temperature in autumn and winter.

Does it feel cold at home?

Start by making your own heat measurement before you report an error. If the temperature is below 20 degrees, we will of course come out and help you – then make a fault report.

Measure your indoor temperature

Measure at least one meter in from the outer wall and about one and a half meters above the floor. If you get a result of 20° C (+/- 1 degree in weather changes), you have a normal indoor temperature.

The heat is controlled automatically

It can be good to know something about how the heating system in our homes works. We have a centrally controlled heating system which is controlled by the outdoor temperature, among other things. This means that in summer and sometimes even during spring, autumn and winter, the heat is switched off during the times when the home does not need to be heated. The fact that the radiators are cold does not necessarily mean that it is too cold in the home.

Tips if you think it is too cold in your home

  • Make sure that the air around the radiators can circulate. Thick curtains and furniture that are placed directly in front of the radiators make the thermostat perceive the room temperature higher than it actually is
  • Air out your home quickly by creating a cross-draft, rather than leaving the window open for a long time. If you have a window or balcony door ajar for a long time, both the room and its fittings and furniture will get cold
