If you receive a housing offer
A housing offer is sent to My Pages approximately 30 minutes after the registration of interest period has ended. You respond to the offer on My Pages by accepting or declining it before the response deadline. To accept the offer, you need to upload documents showing that you meet the study requirements.
On My Pages, you will also see the contact details of the current tenant, who is responsible for showing you the home. The contact details will disappear once you have responded to the offer.
Once you have accepted the offer and uploaded your documents, a signing code will be sent to your registered email address. We will then review your documents and check that you are an active Student Union member and meet the requirements for student housing. If we need any additional documents, we will contact you.
Once the tenancy agreement has been signed, it will appear on My Pages under My tenancy agreement.
Documents required when signing a tenancy agreement
You need to provide a certificate of registration that is no more than one month old and shows that you are studying at least 50% of full-time at a higher education institution affiliated with SSCO.
If you apply for housing before the semester has started, you can provide an admission letter instead. This applies both if you are starting your first semester and if you have not yet received your certificate of registration.
Student Union membership when signing a tenancy agreement
Your Student Union membership needs to be active and registered on My Pages.
At the start of the semester, an admission letter is sufficient until you are able to join a Student Union.
Collect new queue days
Once we have signed your tenancy agreement, your queue days and your place in the queue will be deleted. You can start collecting queue days again by logging in to My Pages and activating your place in the queue.
Avoid losing your place in the queue
- You can decline a housing offer once.
- If you decline a housing offer a second time, your place in the queue will be deleted.
- If you do not respond to an offer, start the signing process without completing it or register interest in a home without meeting the requirements, this will also be counted as declining an offer.
If you have failed to look after your previous home with us or if there are reasons to believe that you will not meet the requirements as a tenant, we will not sign your tenancy agreement.
