New CEO of Stockholms studentbostäder

The Board of Stockholms studentbostäder has appointed Mattias Carrass as the new CEO. Mattias Carrass most recently came from the role of building permit manager in the city of Stockholm and has previously also been project and technology manager at Stockholms studentbostäder. Mattias will take office no later than during the month of July.

– Mattias has an interesting background with experience and knowledge from both business and the public sector as well as student housing. This in combination with Mattias positive and development-oriented qualities means that the board is very happy to have found a good candidate who fits well in the situation SSSB is in now, says Leif Garph, chairman of the board of Stockholms studentbostäder.

Mattias has solid experience from the construction and real estate sector regarding both the private and public sectors. In addition to his role as building permit manager at the City of Stockholm, Mattias has been regional manager at Hifab and group manager within Sweco.

– I am very proud to return to SSSB to now take up the position as CEO. SSSB is a well-run housing company that has an important purpose and mission, to create attractive homes and environments for today’s and tomorrow’s students. I look forward to continuing to further develop the company together with the board and employees, says Mattias Carrass.

Mattias starts at a stage when Stockholms studentbostäder has several construction projects underway. At Lappkärrsberget, the construction of a total of 800 homes is a long way off and there are adopted detailed plans at Forum on Körsbärsvägen and Rio on Gärdet.

Mattias succeeds Ingrid Gyllfors, who has previously been announced as the new CEO of SKB.
