Here is the result of the staircase art contest

Hanna Snarberg – The takeoff

“One of the things I like most about Lappis is its proximity to nature, which is the source of inspiration for the bird and the flowers in this artwork. I chose to work with colors of blue and green since they represent feelings of summer, ease and joy to me, that I wish to spread to the people of Lappis. The proud posture of the bird and the way it spreads its wings makes me think of a rocket ship preparing to launch. That is why the piece is called The Takeoff. Maybe it can inspire people to “take off” themselves, toward whatever goal they may have in life. I also wish for the open wings of the bird to be interpreted as an inviting gesture, welcoming everyone entering Lappis.”

Huahua Tian – The time we shared

“As a silent observer, the staircase has seen the good moments. Not only the energetic sound of feet climbing but the happy talk from us. Ascend the staircase, sceneries transformed from season to season: floral spring, lush summer, golden autumn, and silent winter. It is the Lappis time we shared together. At the end of the journey, we can over the rainbow and close to our dream. In the rainbow one color melts into another. It always reminds us that we’ll always be together since our Lappis is a diverse, equal, and inclusive community.”
