Stockholms studentbostäder was founded by students who wanted to do something about the housing shortage in Stockholm. Today we are the largest in student housing in Sweden and we continue to build more housing – because we want to make room for even more students!

We see our homes as places where students should thrive, develop and strengthen their relationships with other students. Therefore, we want to adapt all our homes to the students’ conditions and needs. In addition, our residential areas are always close to public transport or campus areas.

About half of our homes consist of corridor rooms. The rest are 1-4 room student apartments. In total, we have over 8,500 accommodations in Stockholm, Solna, Nacka and Huddinge.

By, for and with students

We are a foundation that was founded in 1958 by the United Students of Stockholm (SSCO). Then, just like today, the core of our business is the students’ needs and commitment. Everything we have succeeded in is thanks to generations of students who develop and drive us forward. Our board therefore consists of members and deputies elected by SSCO.

Our business concept

Our main business is to offer Student Union-affiliated students in Stockholm a pleasant and affordable accommodation.

We do this by:

• Provide housing.
• Manage and maintain the properties we have.
• Build and develop new housing – for current students and tomorrow’s.
• Check housing – to create equal opportunities for all union members.
• Contribute to a safe and social living time during the study period.
• Work to offer a good range of services.

Our vision is to create a future

Our vision; “Building the future through attractive homes for students” is about us as student housing companies want to contribute to our students, during their time with us, to feel good and feel safe and that they have space for spending time with neighbors and friends in an environment that contributes to their ability to perform in their studies.

In our vision, we also see in front of us campus areas that are teeming with life and community, where everyone interacts with each other and together create prosperous environments. Environments that welcome diversity and inspire innovation and new thinking – and thus create a future.

Our values SAFE

Our values are expressed with four values (Samarbete=Cooperation, Ansvar=Responsibility, Framåtanda=Forward spirit, Engagemang=Commitment) which together form a fifth: SAFE = Security

A basic prerequisite for achieving security is that we work together to turn our values into our daily work. In this way, we always work for the best of our tenants and to be at the forefront.
