Our different types of rental agreements
What is your need for student housing? You may need a home for a longer period or you may need one for a shorter period of time. We have different types of rental agreements so you can choose the one that suits your situation.
Standard agreement
This type of agreement is until further notice and the one we primarily rent out. This means that you can stay with us as long as you meet our living conditions but for a maximum of six years. You can terminate your agreement directly on My pages and you always have a two month termination period, even if you move within SSSB. If you sign a standard agreement, your credit days will be deleted, but you can reactivate your place in the queue and start collecting new credit days.
Until further with waiver of security of tenure
When you sign a rental agreement that is until further notice but a maximum of four years, you also need to sign a waiver of security of tenure. This means that you don’t have the right to remain in the accommodation after we have terminated the agreement. We always terminate a rental agreement with at least three months’ notice. If we terminate the contract and your stay would be shorter than 12 months you will get your credit days back.
Short-term agreement
When we rebuild or undergo other major renovations, we may need to relocate tenants. If we have moved out tenants before the renovation has started and there is a slightly longer period left, we rent out those accommodation on short-term agreements. Our short-term agreements have a residence period of up to a maximum of twelve months. If you would sign a short-term agreement, you will keep your credit days, provided you live the entire period.
Waiver of security of tenure
When you sign a short-term agreement, you also need to sign a waiver of security of tenure. This means that you do not have the right to remain in the home after the end date that we have specified.
