Start booking
When you are registered, you can start booking accommodations and it is the person with the highest amount of credit days who receives an offer of accommodation.
You can book up to three accommodation at the same time, but it is important to keep in mind that you should only book accommodations that you really want to live in.
If you are the one with the most credit days on several of your bookings, you will only receive an offer on one of these and it is the system that randomly sends out an offer of accommodation. Thus, you cannot rank your bookings. If two people have the same number of credit days, the offer is sent to the person who first registered in our housing queue. You can see your bookings here.
It is important that you are able to show that you are studying or will start studying at least half-time at a higher education institution affiliated with SSCO and are a registered Student Union member on My pages. If you cannot show this when you have received an offer, we will not sign your rental agreement.
When do you publish vacant accommodations?
We usually publish vacant accommodations on Mondays 16:00 and Thursdays 10:00. Of course, accommodations can be published on all weekdays.
The accommodations that are published on Mondays can be booked until Thursday 10:00. The accommodations that are published on Thursdays can be booked until Monday 16:00. Offer of accommodation is sent to My pages about 30-40 minutes later.
You have 2-3 days to sign your rental agreement. The deadline is shown on the offer directly on My pages’ start page. Please note that these deadlines apply to our regular publishing times and irregularities occur.
During the summer we can publish Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Priority
If you have special and strong reasons, priority may be granted in our housing queue. Preferably, it applies to medical and social reasons as well as disability that is supported by medical certificates. Reasons like being pregnant, crowded, homeless, long distances to/from the higher education institution are not reasons for applying for priority. You have no guarantee that you will receive exactly the type of accommodation you want if you are granted priority.
Please note that if you are granted priority it can take several months before a suitable accommodation becomes vacant. If you decline a sent offer of accommodation, you have used up your priority and you will then have to book an accommodation as usual in our housing queue.
